Ralf Rae is a German Spitz Mittel who was orphaned to the streets of Yakima. Saved by a good friend who moved to a new apartment and could not have a dog, he became a vineyard dog who now loves wine grapes and keeps the varmints at bay. He likes a fine wine, which evolves over time and develops layers of complexity, and now considers himself to be a 'Mountain Dog' capable of shagging Deer. Ralf Rae has mellowed with age and has determined that when the temperature warms up in summer, his coat must be trimmed into a 'lion cut' and that his shagging days are behind him after almost being trampled to death by an angry buck.
